Workshop FAQ's
What if I currently experience back pain?
That's exactly who this workshop is for. Back pain is often a sign your deadlift pattern (i.e. how you bend), or your core control, isn't working the way it should. We'll break the movement down from the ground up, so you leave with a way of lifting that supports your back instead of aggravating it.
Do I need deadlifting experience to attend?
No. This works whether you've never picked up a barbell, you're returning after an injury, or you've been lifting for years and want to clean up your technique. Everyone starts from the same foundation: how to hinge, brace, and breathe correctly.
Is this a one-off session, or part of an ongoing program?
This is a standalone 90-minute workshop. You'll walk away with the foundations of the Hydraulic Lifting Pattern and how to apply it, no ongoing commitment required.
Will this help if I've been told I have a disc issue or sciatica?
This workshop is built around teaching proper core engagement and lifting mechanics, the exact areas that, when dysfunctional, contribute to disc issues and sciatic irritation.
It's education and technique-focused, not a substitute for medical treatment, so if you're currently under care for a diagnosed condition, come along, but also keep working with your practitioner.

What should I bring, and is equipment provided?
Just bring comfortable clothing you can move in, plus something warm, since part of the session is seated theory and your body may cool down while we talk through the concepts. Bring your own drink bottle, a towel and an open mind.
